LACI provides classes for Adults at public and private elementary schools, hospitals, and banks. Besides using our regular curriculum, classes are structured based upon the specific needs and interests of our clients.
As the Latino population continues to grow in the United States, banks are realizing the importance of gaining the trust of the Latino community. They understand that it is more important than ever to have tellers, bankers, branch managers, district/regional managers, lenders, and even ‘C’ level employees that are proficient in their use of the Spanish language. To help banks meet this need, LACI offers specialized classes to bank personnel that will enable them to better communicate in Spanish and attract and retain Spanish speaking clients.
Apart from our specialized curriculum, our tailored Spanish course for your bank will cover the following:Parents who have their child attending dual language schools or schools that are attended by Latino children have recently taken more of an interest in learning Spanish. LACI works with elementary schools that have parents that want to learn Spanish and interact more with the Spanish speaking parents and children.
LACI partners with Intercambio de Comunidades of Denver to offer an evening dual language program where Intercambio provides English classes to the Spanish speaking parents and LACI offers Spanish classes to the English speaking parents. Once a month Spanish speaking and English parents get together for a potluck in order to get to know each other and form friendships. This helps create a more integrated in community in the schools.
LACI provides classes for workers at hospitals that want to become proficient in the Spanish language. We understand the importance for a doctor or nurse to be able to communicate with monolingual Spanish speaking patients and family. Therefore, LACI offers specialized classes that enable hospital personnel to communicate with their patients in the Spanish language.
